Is Disney+ Canada Teasing Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?

The release of the ‘Echo’ show introduced new elements to the MCU. It was the first show under the Marvel Spotlight banner and the first character-focused, R-rated series. Even though the main character wasn’t very well-known, the show did well. The biggest change in ‘Echo’ was that it officially included Netflix’s ‘The Defenders Saga’ as part of the MCU timeline.

There are some issues with this, but they will likely be worked out in the future, especially with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ coming soon – a revival of ‘Daredevil’ show.

Since Daredevil is making a big return, fans have been wondering about the other characters, especially Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Both actors have said they’re ready to reprise their roles and continue their stories.

With the release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ so close, the hype is building up around potential appearances of Defenders in the show, and Disney+ Canada might have just given us the latest hint that some of the characters will appear in the show.

Of course, perhaps fans are reading into this and the official Disney+ account is simply trying to boost their stats and introduce fans new to Daredevil to the rich history of the character that was a thing on Netflix long before he joined the MCU.

But taking into account some previous statements made by Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios Exec, the assumption that they are giving us a hint is perhaps not that far off. Winderbaum recently stated that New York City in the MCU feels like its own universe, and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ sets it up as a place where different people are fighting for control, like a medieval kingdom. He finds this world inspiring and sees potential for more stories to be told there.

This is not the first time that Defenders have been teased in the MCU. Recently during Brazil’s D23 Winderbaum stated he would like to see Jessica Jones’ story continue with another season in the MCU.

He also recently teased that characters like Colleen Wing could return under the right circumstances, and there are exciting surprises for fans of the Netflix shows, especially with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ coming up.

The last hint was in the ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ trailer itself. In one of the shots Times Square can be seen and one of the billboards showcased is directly referencing Harlem’s Paradise connected to Luke Cage. So, who knows?
