‘Masters of the Universe’ Movie Expands Cast with Fisto and Sorceress, Adding Big Names to the Franchise

The highly anticipated ‘Masters of the Universe’ movie is set to bring the iconic characters of Mattel’s beloved franchise to life on the big screen. Directed by Travis Knight, this superhero film features an exciting cast, including Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor.

Alongside them are Alison Brie and Idris Elba adding even more star power to this epic tale. Scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, the film will follow Prince Adam’s journey from a crash-landing on Earth to his rise as He-Man, defender of the planet Eternia.

Fans of the franchise can expect plenty of action, adventure, and classic heroes vs. villains moments as the battle for the universe unfolds.

Now it’s been reported that two more famous names have been added to the cast list.

Morena Baccarin has been cast as The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, a crucial character in the universe. Known for her standout roles in ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Gotham,’ Baccarin brings her acting chops to the powerful protector of Castle Grayskull. The Sorceress is not only a guardian of the mystical stronghold but also the mother of Teela, He-Man’s fierce and loyal ally.

Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, known for his portrayal of Olaf in ‘Vikings: Valhalla,’ will take on the role of Malcolm, also known as Fisto. Fisto, a giant of a man with immense strength and a fierce sense of justice, joins the battle against the dark forces threatening the universe.

Jóhannesson’s imposing physical presence and solid acting experience make him a perfect fit for this heroic role, bringing a new depth to the character.
