1. On Becoming a Guinea Fowl (March 7, 2025)

On Becoming a Guinea Fowl is a black comedy drama directed by Rungano Nyoni, featuring Susan Chardy, Elizabeth Chisela, and Henry B.J. Phiri. The film is a co-production between Ireland, the UK, the US, and Zambia. It premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May 2024 and was released in the UK and Ireland in December 2024. It is set to hit US theaters on March 7, 2025, by A24.

The story follows Shula, who finds her uncle’s body on an empty road one night. As the family starts funeral preparations, Shula and her cousins uncover hidden secrets about their middle-class Zambian family.

2. Opus (March 14, 2025)

Opus is a 2025 thriller written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, making his feature directorial debut. The film stars Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, and more. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025 and will be released in theaters on March 14, 2025, by A24 and Warner Bros. Pictures internationally.

The story follows a young writer who is invited to the secluded home of a legendary pop star who disappeared 30 years ago. Surrounded by the star’s devoted followers and drunken journalists, she soon finds herself caught in the middle of his mysterious and twisted plan.

3. Death of a Unicorn (March 28, 2025)

Death of a Unicorn is a comedy horror film directed by Alex Scharfman, starring Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, and others. The film will premiere at South by Southwest on March 8, 2025, and be released in the US on March 28, 2025, by A24. The story follows a man and his daughter who accidentally hit a unicorn with their car while heading to a summit. The unicorn’s death leads to dangerous consequences as its mate seeks revenge on those who exploited the creature’s powers.

4. Warfare (April 11, 2025)

Warfare is an upcoming war film directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, based on Mendoza’s experiences as a U.S. Navy SEAL in the Iraq War. The movie follows a platoon of SEALs on a real-time mission through insurgent territory in 2006. The film features a star-studded cast, including D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, and Cosmo Jarvis, and is set to be released by A24 on April 11, 2025.

5. The Legend of Ochi (April 25, 2025)

The Legend of Ochi is a 2025 fantasy adventure film directed by Isaiah Saxon, starring Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, and Willem Dafoe. The story follows a young girl named Yuri, who sets out on a dangerous journey to return a baby forest creature to its family after it is abandoned by its pack.

6. Marty Supreme (December 25, 2025)

Marty Supreme is an upcoming sports drama directed by Josh Safdie, starring Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler, the Creator. The film follows Marty, a champion ping pong player, and is set to be released by A24 on December 25, 2025.

7. André Is an Idiot (2025)

8. Architecton (EU 2024/2025, US TBA 2025)

Architecton (2024) is a documentary by Viktor Kossakovsky that explores the materials shaping our world, like concrete and stone. The film looks at the rise and fall of civilizations through architecture, using examples from ancient ruins to modern-day destruction, like the recent earthquake in Turkey.
