First Look at ‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 3 – Teaser Art Revealed – Coming to Netflix in 2025

‘Alice in Borderland,’ one of Netflix’s biggest Japanese-language series, is set to return for a highly anticipated third season. Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates, and excitement has only grown throughout 2024 as they hope for an official release date.

The series follows a young man and his friends who find themselves trapped in a mysterious parallel world. To survive, they must compete in high-stakes, life-or-death games. Despite its popularity, the show has only released 16 episodes across its first two seasons over the past four years.

Netflix officially confirmed Season 3 in September 2023, which is also when filming began. However, dedicated fans had already spotted clues about the renewal, including posters in Tokyo teasing the next chapter. The show has been a massive hit, with Season 2 becoming the most-watched Netflix title in Japan when it premiered in 2022.

The announcement of Season 3 surprised many fans because Season 2 already covered the entire manga story. The finale showed Arisu defeating the Queen of Hearts, after she tried to trick him, and the surviving players choosing to return to the real world instead of staying in the Borderland.

It was then revealed that everything they experienced was part of a near-death experience caused by a meteorite hitting Tokyo, and in the end, Arisu and Usagi found each other again in the real world, even though they had no memories of what happened.
