Marvel is bringing two of its biggest heroes together once again in an exciting new comic book series. “Spider-Man & Wolverine,” an ongoing title written by Marc Guggenheim with artwork by Kaare Andrews, is set to launch in May.

This new series pairs up the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and the Best There Is for a high-stakes adventure that ties into both of their pasts. While their personalities might not always align, there’s no denying that when Peter Parker and Logan join forces, they make a formidable team against any threat in the Marvel Universe.

Andrews, who recently worked on “Spider-Man: Reign II,” is also thrilled about the project. “Spider-Man and Wolverine have always attracted the best artists in comics and I’m pulling from all of them,” he said. “But honestly, it’s not just about individual artists—it’s about the era that shaped me. The late ‘80s and early ‘90s comics were a huge influence, and that’s where I first fell in love with the medium.”

Marvel teased the upcoming series with two images by Andrews. One featured Wolverine with the phrase “Friendly Neighborhood” and the artist’s name, while the other showcased Spider-Man swinging into action with “The Best There Is” alongside Guggenheim’s name.

Spider-Man has always been at the center of multiple ongoing titles, including “Amazing Spider-Man,” “Spectacular Spider-Men” alongside Miles Morales, and “Spider-Man.” Wolverine is equally busy, starring in his own solo series and making appearances in “Uncanny X-Men,” “Deadpool/Wolverine,” and the newly launched “Weapon X-Men.”

With “Deadpool & Wolverine” proving to be a hit in theaters, Marvel fans are eager to see Logan interact with more major characters. While many are hoping for Wolverine to cross paths with the Avengers or the Fantastic Four, a team-up with Spider-Man is an exciting direction. Their contrasting personalities make for an engaging dynamic, ensuring plenty of action and drama.

The first issue of “Spider-Man & Wolverine” is set for release on May 7th and will feature variant covers by artists Mark Bagley, Clayton Crain, and Dave Marquez.
