Charlie Cox Has Some Good News for Fans of the Original Series: “It’s the same Matt Murdock.”
Charlie Cox recently shared some details about his role in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series. Fans who loved the original show will be happy to hear that his character, Matt Murdock, stays true to the version they know. However, Charlie explains that he’s “just shaped by his new experiences.”
The actor clarified that even though it’s the same Matt Murdock, the character has evolved. It’s clear that the events Matt has gone through in his life have had an impact on who he is now.
For those of us familiar with his journey so far, we can expect the same lawyer by day, and vigilante by night, but with a bit more history and perspective shaping his actions and choices.
Charlie’s statement confirms that while the character may have been through a lot, his core remains intact. At the Global Press Conference, Charlie made sure to reassure fans that the essence of Matt Murdock is still very much alive in the new show. So, we’re not getting an entirely different version of Daredevil, just a Matt Murdock who’s grown from his past struggles and challenges.
Fans can look forward to seeing how these new experiences shape Matt’s future actions and relationships in Daredevil: Born Again. It’s going to be exciting to witness how the character grows while staying true to what made him special in the first place.
