It Seems that Harley Quinn Is “Becoming” Superman in Upcoming Story

Harley Quinn is making a big splash with a daring new Superman-inspired costume, and it’s bound to get cosplayers excited. Her twist on the iconic Man of Steel look comes as part of a special variant cover for Harley Quinn #51, set to drop on May 28, 2025. The cover, created by Guillem March, shows Harley sporting a Superman-style bodysuit in her signature two-tone fashion.
At first glance, it might seem like Harley’s wearing something similar to Supergirl’s costume. However, upon closer inspection, you can see her usual flair in the design.
Instead of the classic red and black, Harley switches things up with Superman blue and a striking aquamarine. The most noticeable change is the Superman “S” shield, which keeps the classic logo but adds Harley’s diamond shape around the border.
Harley’s pose also pays tribute to one of Superman’s most memorable moments—the famous shirt rip. She pulls off a pair of glasses reading ‘Ho’ and rips open her button-down shirt to reveal her own version of the Superman bodysuit underneath. It’s a clever twist on the classic Superman transformation that adds a lot of humor and personality to the look.
So, why is Harley channeling Superman? It’s all part of DC’s upcoming Summer of Superman event. This initiative will feature a flood of Superman-themed content, including new comics and projects related to Superman and his allies.
Harley’s Superman-inspired variant cover for Harley Quinn #51 is just one of the many ways DC is celebrating this season.
The issue will be available on May 28, 2025, and it’s safe to say this new look will spark some fun and creative cosplay ideas.
