The Russo Brothers Are Back for Avengers 5 and 6, But They Have Big Shoes to Fill

The Russo brothers are returning to direct two of the biggest upcoming movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. After directing Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which both grossed over two billion dollars, they have a tough task ahead of them.
The stakes are high, and the brothers are aware of that. Joe Russo shared in an interview that they feel the need to outdo their previous work. He said, ‘We have to be, right? Because we have to outdo those movies in a way, or we at least have to take you on an equally engaging journey.’
It’s clear that they’re aiming to push themselves and the audience even further.
Anthony Russo also emphasized the huge opportunity these films present. He said, ‘These movies are an incredible opportunity for us, and they’re an incredible opportunity for audiences,’ showing how much pressure they feel to create something special.
They want to meet these high expectations and deliver the experience that everyone is hoping for.
So, while Avengers 5 and 6 are on the horizon, the Russo brothers are keeping busy with The Electric State. It will be interesting to see how their new work compares to the blockbuster success of their Avengers films.
