‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ Star Joins ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Sequel

Godzilla x Kong was a surprising hit at the box office when it came out and despite the lukewarm reception by the critics, the franchise is going strong, as the next movie in the MonsterVerse franchise is being worked on. The movie is, of course, a direct sequel to the aforementioned movie.
In it, we are going to see Godzilla and King Kong team up once again against a potentially world-ending enemy, and in light of that fact, it remains to be seen how things will play out. The first movie upped the stakes in terms of the movie’s action and kaiju fights, so we can expect more of the same.
In light of that, sources have confirmed that a new cast member has been confirmed for the upcoming movie and it is Matthew Modine, best known for his recent roles in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things and Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning hit, Oppenheimer.
The movie is said to introduce a variety of new human characters and we have already reported on several casting additions. Not much is known about Modine’s character as of the time of writing, but with his experience in sci-fi projects, we are certain that he is going to bring something new and fresh to the movie.
Modine, thus, joins Dan Stevens, who will be reprising his fan-favorite role from the previous movie, as well as Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, and Delroy Lindo, all of who have been confirmed for the upcoming movie. Grant Sputore is directing the movie, while Dave Callaham is currently working on the script for the movie, which is still unfinished as of the time of writing this article.
