As one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, Ghost Rider has had several live-action adaptations, with the most notable being Nicolas Cage’s portrayal of Johnny Blaze. While the films were initially critical failures, they have since gained a cult following and are appreciated by many fans. In 2013, the film rights to Ghost Rider reverted to Marvel Studios, but the studio never had plans for a third movie.

Three years later, a new version of the character, Robbie Reyes, was introduced in the MCU through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., played by Gabriel Luna. There were discussions of a standalone series for Reyes, but the show never materialized.

Now, nearly a decade later, rumors are swirling that Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider may appear in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie. Additionally, there are whispers that a Ghost Rider standalone film is either in development or at least being planned.

But what about Luna? The actor was recently asked by Screen Rant about the possibility of returning as Ghost Rider and teaming up with Pedro Pascal in the MCU. Luna responded enthusiastically, saying, “Oh hell yeah.”

After the aforementioned standalone show was canceled Luna thought his time with Marvel was over. In a recent interview with Forbes, he explained that he used to feel satisfied with what he accomplished as a Ghost Rider and didn’t want to risk ruining it by returning. However, he now feels more open to the idea if the opportunity comes around.
