Trump’s Reality Show, ‘The Apprentice,’ Coming to Amazon Prime

Donald Trump is, aside from being the President of the United States, also known for his appearances in the entertainment industry. We know he’s had cameos in various movies and series, but he also had a show of his own, as most of you will know.

The Apprentice was a reality-style competition show that assessed the business capabilities of a group of people. The show ran for a total of 15 seasons and was, for the most part, hosted by Trump himself. The prize? Well, a one-year $250,000 starting contract to promote one of Donald Trump’s properties. So yeah, it all about Donald in the end.

The series originally aired on NBC, but those who want to watch it will now be able to see it on Amazon Prime Video, as it has been confirmed that the series is coming to the streaming platform. Season 1 is dropping on March 10 in the U.S., while subsequent seasons will appear one per week on Mondays through April 27.

The show was produced by British producer Mark Burnett, who praised the concept. “‘The Apprentice’ is one of the best shows that I ever produced,” he said. “The charismatic onscreen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit! Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday. This show is a love letter to New York City! ‘Survivor’ grew an entirely new massive audience as result of old seasons being binged during the pandemic. On Monday, March 10, this same phenomenon will begin again…with ‘The Apprentice.’”

But it’s not just Burnett, as Trump is also looking forward to seeing himself on TV once again: “I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!”
