New Thunderbolts Assemble: Marvel’s Deadliest Team Just Got Even Wilder!

Share:

This June, Marvel is launching a brand-new Thunderbolts comic series. Written by Sam Humphries and illustrated by Ton Lima, New Thunderbolts will feature some of the most powerful and unpredictable characters in the Marvel Universe.

The Thunderbolts have always been a team of unlikely allies—reformed villains, antiheroes, and mercenaries who take on dangerous missions that others won’t. Now, Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) and Black Widow are putting together a new squad to face a massive threat.

The new team includes The Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Carnage, The Hulk, Namor, Clea, and Wolverine. Each of them is a dangerous loner, but they must work together to stop evil duplicates of the Illuminati. These copies are just as powerful as the originals, and if they succeed, the world is in serious trouble.

Humphries is excited about the series, saying, “I love every version of the Thunderbolts. This team is a mix of seven of the most intense characters from different parts of the Marvel Universe. It’s like inviting the wildest guests to a chaotic dinner party—and seeing what happens.

Artist Ton Lima is also thrilled to be working on the series. “This team doesn’t waste time talking—they jump straight into action. That makes it exciting to draw, and I’m having a blast!

The first issue, New Thunderbolts #1, will be released on June 11, featuring cover art by Stephen Segovia and a variant cover by Mark Bagley. Fans can also look forward to learning more about the new villains, the Killuminati, in the coming months. With high-stakes action and unexpected twists, this new era of the Thunderbolts promises to be one of the most thrilling yet.
