Robert Kirkman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan Comment on the Season 3 Finale of ‘Invincible’: “Every time I watch the episode, it’s so moving to me.”

Season 3 of Amazon’s adaptation of Invincible is over and the fans cannot stop talking about the epic season finale that delivered a series of emotional and interesting moments. Particular praise has been directed towards guest voice actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who voiced Conquest in the series.
Now, in a recent talk, Morgan and series creator Robert Kirkman discussed that final episode and revealed some interesting comments and impressions they had, which is what we decided to share with you in this report.
Aside from the action sequences, Conquest’s speech was one of the most inspiring and praised moments from the episode, a moment that highlighted both Conquest as a character and Morgan’s masterful performance.
“You’ve spent this entire episode going, ‘This is the baddest dude I’ve ever encountered. I think he might kill Mark. This is really bad. I don’t like this guy. I’m scared of this guy,'” Kirkman said. “And then to give him this moment of extreme vulnerability, and Jeffrey… I hate gushing, but just the softness that comes out of his voice in that scene. You really get a genuine moment of emotion out of him, which…I don’t know. Every time I watch the episode, it’s so moving to me and it makes me love Conquest even more.”
As for Morgan, he was also inspired by this moment. “I love that scene, too,” he added, revealing that it took him only one take to deliver that epic moment. “We did another one just because I was like, ‘I didn’t trust you’…. I just thought it showed another layer of Conquest.”
As you can see, Conquest’s appearance caused a stir and we absolutely agree with the two that it was an epic moment, and we hope that the series will deliver many more such moments in the future.
