Sharon Stone Claims She Was Cast and Dropped from “Another Simple Favor” in Snarky Instagram Comment

Sharon Stone recently made a surprising and snarky comment on social media, claiming that she was cast in Paul Feig’s upcoming thriller sequel Another Simple Favor but was then unexpectedly dropped from the movie.
The film, which is set to be released on May 1, is a sequel to A Simple Favor (2018) and reunites Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the lead roles. The movie had its world premiere at SXSW, and while Stone’s name wasn’t reported as being part of the cast, she shared a surprising comment on Instagram under an E! News post about the film.
In the comment, Stone said, “I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it 👏👏👏.” It’s unclear why she was removed or what role she was supposed to play, but her message was clear — she was not happy about the decision.
Another Simple Favor follows the story of Stephanie (played by Anna Kendrick) and Emily (played by Blake Lively) as they reunite in coastal Italy for Emily’s wedding to a wealthy businessman. Stephanie has written a book about the events from the first movie, and Emily, who was previously in prison, crashes a book reading to invite Stephanie to her wedding. But, as expected, Emily might have revenge on her mind as the plot thickens.
Along with Lively and Kendrick, other stars from the first movie are returning, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack.
