New ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Set Photo Spells Trouble for Spider-Man

A new set photo from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has fans buzzing—and it looks like Tom Holland’s Spider-Man won’t be happy about it.
A new image from the show’s set, shared by Chris Gallardo of Hollywood Handle, reveals a campaign poster for Wilson Fisk, who has now become the Mayor of New York City. The poster features the phrase “Making NYC Safe” along with a phone number: 555-NOMASKS. This clearly suggests that Fisk is cracking down on masked heroes, making life much harder for vigilantes like Spider-Man, Daredevil, and the Punisher.
This isn’t the first time Fisk has publicly attacked superheroes. In Episode 2 of Season 1, he made a direct reference to some of New York’s most well-known vigilantes, saying:
“We don’t need a gun-toting vigilante who wears a skull mask on his chest, or a man who dresses in a spider outfit, or a guy who wears devil horns to save us.”
With Fisk now in power, his anti-vigilante task force is likely to become a serious problem for heroes operating in the city.
Although Spider-Man operates in New York, his connection to Fisk remains complicated. Since Sony Pictures owns the rights to Spider-Man, it’s unlikely that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will directly appear in Daredevil: Born Again. Even Vincent D’Onofrio has denied any involvement in Spider-Man 4, making a showdown between the two unlikely—for now.
However, rumors suggest that Spider-Man 4 will take the character in an exciting new direction. Some leaks even hint at possible appearances from the Hulk, the Punisher, or even Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men.
Some fresh rumors however state that the anti-vigilante problem will only get worse with Matt eventually assembling a team of like-minded individuals to combat the task force.
