‘Adolescence’ Becomes Netflix’s Most-Watched Show of the Week with 24.3 Million Views
Netflix’s latest limited series, Adolescence, made a huge impact in its opening weekend, becoming the most-watched TV show on the platform for the week. The four-episode drama premiered on Thursday, March 13, and quickly drew in 24.3 million views by Sunday, March 16.
The strong debut of Adolescence outperformed several recent Netflix originals. For comparison:
- The Night Agent Season 2 premiered with 13.9 million views.
- Zero Day gathered 19.1 million views in its first week.
- Running Point had 9.3 million views in its debut.
With such high numbers, Adolescence solidified its place as Netflix’s top English-language TV show of the week. The second most-watched show, Running Point, had only 6 million views, while Zero Day came in third with 4.4 million views.
Even with its impressive success, Adolescence just missed being Netflix’s biggest title of the week overall. That honor went to The Electric State, a sci-fi movie starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, which brought in 25.2 million views.
