‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is the next installment of the MCU that we can look forward to. The movie lands in theaters on February 14, 2025, as a part of Phase 5.

The movie will be Sam Willson’s first standalone movie as Captain America and will feature Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross as Red Hulk.

After Thaddeus Ross becomes the President of the United States, Sam Wilson gets caught in an international crisis and must uncover and stop the real villains behind it.

Danny Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres, who takes on Wilson’s former mantle as Falcon, forming an equal partnership with Wilson. Shira Haas portrays Ruth Bat-Seraph, an Israeli former Black Widow and ally to President Ross, while Xosha Roquemore appears as a Secret Service agent.

Carl Lumbly returns as Isaiah Bradley, a super soldier with a traumatic past, and Giancarlo Esposito takes on the role of Seth Voelker/Sidewinder, the intelligent and physical leader of the Serpent Society. Liv Tyler reprises her role as Betty Ross, a biologist and the daughter of Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

Tim Blake Nelson plays Samuel Sterns/The Leader, a brilliant scientist turned superhumanly intelligent adversary with a comic-accurate look achieved via practical effects. Additional cast includes Takehiro Hira as Prime Minister Ozaki and undisclosed roles for Seth Rollins and Rosa Salazar.

A new standee on social media revealed that several names joined the production including Scandinavian actor Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson.

Jóhannesson is known for his roles in ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ as Olaf Haraldsson, ‘Game of Thrones’ as Lem Lemoncloak, and the films ‘Atomic Blonde’ and ‘The Northman.’ So far, the role hasn’t been revealed.

The story of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is credited to Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Rob Edwards, with the screenplay by Julius Onah, Peter Glanz, and Matt Orton. Anthony Mackie earns an executive producer credit, joining the ranks of Marvel stars like Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, Oscar Isaac, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Hemsworth.
