‘Absolute Superman’ #5 Promises a Heartbreaking Take on the Destruction of Krypton
DC Comics’ Absolute imprint has been crushing it in recent months, with both Absolute Batman and Absolute Superman being proper hits. And while DC is announcing more titles from the same imprint, we are happy to say that the preview for the upcoming Absolute Superman #5 is here and we’re in for something epic.
Written by comic book legend Jason Aaron with art from Rafa Sandoval, Absolute Superman #5 is set to come out on March 12, 2025 and it will, based on what we know, deliver a heartbreaking take on the story of how Krypton was destroyed.
And while details are still being kept under wraps, the official synopsis reveals the following: BRACE YOURSELF FOR A HEARTBREAKING TALE OF THE FINAL FATE OF KRYPTON! Kal-El’s life with his parents in the rural Redlands of Krypton is a happy one. But when that entire existence is suddenly threatened, the Els have no choice but to make a stand… and fight for the truth!
It is expected that the next issue will bring something new to a very well-known story from the Superman lore and we can expect a lot of emotions based on what the preview images are suggesting:
As said, the comic book is coming out on March 12, 2025, and based on everything, DC is eyeing another weekly #1 spot with Absolute Superman #5, which is why we’re looking forward to it!
