‘Agatha All Along’ Confirms the Existence of One of Marvel’s Most Beloved All-Female Teams

Agatha All Along’ released its 4th episode and it was truly a trial by fire for our coven of witches. In the last episode, we see Jennifer Kale demonstrating her knowledge of potion craft in order to pass the trial, and 4th episode tests the coven’s resolve by facing Alice with an old family curse.

The musically-themed episode cleared up the fate and the past of Alice’s mother, it brought back Rio Vidal to the show this time as a full-fledged member of the coven, but it also confirmed that one of the most popular all-female teams in the comics exists in the MCU – Daughters of Liberty.

Locke’s “The Teen” has been seriously wounded during the trial and is at risk of dying until Jennifer once again proves just how good of a healer she is. While he was recovering the witches were sharing stories about their scars.

Agatha had one of the most interesting stories to tell as she showcases her long elbow scar. Agatha mentioned that she got it when somebody attacked her with a knitting needle which implies that it’s connected to the Daughters of Liberty.

The Daughters of Liberty track their beginnings to the American colonies, trained in combat magic by Agatha Harkness and science by the Dryad.

Committed to safeguarding freedom and guiding humanity responsibly, they included historical figures like Harriet Tubman. In the mid-20th century, Peggy Carter joined, mentored by Alexa Volkoff.

Carter’s initial mission was to protect the Super-Soldier Serum from falling into the wrong hands, leading to a love affair with Captain America. She later became the Dryad. In the modern era, Daughters rallied to clear Captain America’s name after he was framed for murder by Thaddeus Ross.

The mention of Daughters of Liberty is extremely interesting since several months back rumors have been circulating that that project focusing on the team was in development before the SAG-AFTRA strike.

We don’t know whether Daughters will appear in live-action, but it’s good to get a confirmation that they existed at some point in the MCU’s past.
