‘Agatha All Along’ Easter Eggs You Missed in Trailer

Share:

‘Agatha All Along’ recently released its first teaser trailer showcasing a magical new installment in the MCU. The show is set to follow Agatha Harkness as she tries to reclaim her magic following her imprisonment at the hands of the Scarlet Witch. To do that, she will have to go through the Witches’ Road – one very dangerous journey that includes recruiting new witches to her coven.

The teaser showcased what to expect, but it also featured quite a few easter eggs summarized in a few minutes, if you didn’t catch them all, no worries, we have you covered!

There are quite a few Westview references

‘Agatha: All Along’ is ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, so we expected quite a few nods to the show to appear in the trailer. The first detective that Agatha meets in the teaser is played by David A. Payton aka Herb from ‘WandaVision’ who was Wanda’s and Vision’s neighbor. They observe a body that resembles Wanda wearing jeans and a hoodie and having blackened tips of fingers, something that happens when someone uses Darkhold to cast magic.

This scene obviously references Wanda’s departure from Westview, since she had blackened tips of her fingers after using Darkhold, she wore jeans and a hoodie and she is also presumably dead following the events of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ The library card that Agatha holds is also a card that belongs to the “Westview” branch.

It’s all in the numbers

When Agatha holds the library card alongside the most obvious reference, Wanda’s name, there are quite a few numbers on it that can be brought to connection with Marvel Universe and witchcraft in general.

Reality 53961 involves Doctor Strange and Gina Atwater, a version of Christine Palmer, where Gina is the Sorcerer Supreme. February 16 marks Elizabeth Olsen’s birthday. August 28 is the birthday of Jack Kirby, the Marvel comic book artist who co-created Wanda Maximoff with Stan Lee. December 28, which also appears on the card, is Stan Lee’s birthday. June 2 is significant as the date when Bridget Bishop was the first person tried and convicted of witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts.

Outfits from ‘WandaVision’

When Agatha manages to free herself from Wanda’s spell in the trailer, you can see her various outfits from when she was trapped inside Wanda’s hex in Westview.

Salem Seven

The song that plays in the trailer is Florence + the Machine’s ‘Seven Devils.’ This is likely a reference to Salem Seven from Marvel Comics which will be adapted in the show. Agatha needs the help of the Salem Seven to walk the witches’ road.

Nods to Joe Locke playing Billy Maximoff aka Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan

It’s been recently confirmed that Joe Locke is playing Billy Kaplan, at one point in the trailer he is wearing a red and white shirt and a blue sweatband, which is similar to Billy Maximoff’s look during the ‘WandaVision’ Halloween episode and to Wiccan’s look in the comics, obviously letting us know that Locke is playing in way or another Wanda’s son.

The Witches’ Road & Agatha Harkness

Agatha Harkness will use the Witches’ road to reclaim her powers, in the comics, Scarlet Witch used the Witches’ road to bring Agatha back from the dead, which is obviously a reference to that storyline.
