‘Agatha All Along’ premiered shortly after ‘The Acolyte.’ The Star Wars show flopped badly, mostly because of its quality, but also faced a lot of backlash over its DEI themes.

Many MCU fans thought ‘Agatha All Along’ would face the same fate. The MCU has been struggling for a while, and ‘Agatha All Along’ seemed like it had all the elements for another wave of negative reviews.

This didn’t happen. Although there were attempts to review-bomb the show, it has scored consistently solid streaming numbers appearing twice on Nielsen’s Originals Top 10 lists. Brad Winderbaum also confirmed that the show has the highest continuation rate compared to other MCU shows.

This means that a large number of initial viewers returned week after week to follow the show.

Now the most recent data brought to use by Variety’s Luminate show that ‘Agatha All Along’ got a massive viewership boost following the release of 2 final episodes and managed to rank in the 8th spot for the November 1 – 7, 2024 period with 314.8M minutes watched.

This is a 17% rise in viewership compared to last week. You can check out the table below:

‘Agatha All Along’ was previously largely absent from the list after ranking in the 9th spot a week after release.

All of this is good news and looks favorable when we take into account the possibility of a second season. Despite the show being classified as a miniseries, with a predetermined number of episodes, Disney put ‘Agatha All Along’ forward for awards nomination in the comedy category instead of the “limited series” category.

The fact that ‘Agatha All Along’ was the cheapest production to date is also good news, meaning that it depended less on viewership in order to bring in revenue compared to ‘The Acolyte’ which had massive production costs.
