‘Agatha All Along’ Showrunner Teases Wanda’s Fate and Potential Cameos

Agatha All Along is the latest MCU series spinning off from the popular show WandaVision. The series has undergone multiple name changes before settling on this one, so it’s a surprise that it has stuck until the premiere. Nonetheless, the series debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, with two episodes, and will continue with weekly releases of the remaining seven episodes until November 6, concluding the season.

Kathryn Hahn returns as Agatha Harkness, and while she is set to be the star of the series, several other notable MCU characters will also make appearances, some of which have been hinted at in recent rumors. As fans delve into the mysteries of Agatha’s world, there is growing curiosity about Scarlet Witch, especially following the initial episodes.

The series appears to confirm that Wanda is “really most sincerely dead,” but Agnes hints that with Wanda, “you never know.” This has sparked further speculation about Wanda’s possible return, with showrunner Jac Schaeffer recently weighing in on the matter.

In a previous report, we mentioned that Elizabeth Olsen discussed the possibility of returning to the MCU during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Here’s what she had to say:

“It’s a character I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well and I think I’ve been lucky when I started I was used well… and they kind of didn’t know what to do with me for a second there! If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”

This suggests that possibilities remain open, and numerous rumors have circulated about a potential solo Scarlet Witch film, indicating that Marvel hasn’t forgotten about Wanda and may be planning something. Meanwhile, with her WandaVision co-star back in the spotlight, fans are hopeful for Wanda’s return to the series. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer recently addressed this speculation, stating:

“I am keeping such a good poker face. What I will say is like, I really like how your mind works. That’s my response to that theory. (…) This is Agatha Harkness’s show. So that is what I will say is, Agatha is a lady who takes center stage.”

This certainly opens up many possibilities, and given the current developments, a cameo from Wanda might not be as unexpected as some might believe.
