‘Alien: Earth’s’ Immersive Experience: ‘The Wreckage’ Takes Over SXSW 2025

FX Networks and Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth is getting fans excited before its summer premiere with an immersive experience called “The Wreckage” at SXSW 2025. The event gives attendees a sneak peek into the upcoming series with interactive elements, exclusive merchandise, and photo opportunities.
For those unable to attend, Variety shared footage from the event.
At the experience, visitors are scanned for alien parasites before being sent on a mission through the wreckage of a crashed spaceship. They’ll get up close with alien specimens, but danger lurks as some creatures didn’t survive the crash, and a containment breach has put everyone at risk.
Set in 2120, two years before the events of the 1979 Alien movie, Alien: Earth follows a crew of soldiers and a young woman who discover a terrifying threat after a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth. The crew must fight for survival as they encounter deadly life forms, and their decisions could change the fate of the planet.
