Unfortunately, All Signs Point that Scarlet Witch Won’t Appear in ‘Agatha All Along’ – Here’s Why

‘Agatha All Along’ is the upcoming MCU installment that’s supposed to spice up your Halloween season as well as lead you into the wonderful world of witchcraft in the MCU. The show will be dealing with Agatha Harkness as she manages to escape her imprisonment at the hands of the Scarlet Witch, but she returns powerless.

In order to re-claim her powers Agatha will walk the Witches’ Road and gather a cowen of various magic-users. The show was confirmed to be a musical some time ago, and it’s going to feature lots of nods to the ‘WandaVision’ show.

We previously theorized that if Wanda is to re-appear in the MCU, ‘Agatha All Along’ is certainly a project to do it in. The probability of that happening jumped higher when Joe Locke was confirmed to play Billy Kaplan aka Wiccan aka Wanda’s son, and most recently when MCU’s ‘Vision’ show got a significant update with the rumor that Scarlet Witch will also make an appearance in the show.

However, as the show’s release date, September 18, is drawing closer, that theory seems more and more unlikely. The show’s trailer featured numerous easter eggs from the MCU, as well as references to Scarlet Witch. This leads me to believe that even though the show’s first trailer heavily led you to anticipate Wanda in some form, that won’t happen. They would have shown her by now.

Let’s be honest here ‘Agatha: All Along’ is tailored for a very specific audience, and the majority of MCU fans likely won’t be interested in the show. If the show had Scarlet Witch to show off they would have done it by now, if only to boost interest when it comes to audiences that otherwise aren’t interested in Agatha but are in Scarlet Witch.

It’s not like the MCU is not famous for misleading trailers and promotional materials. That issue becomes even more severe when they anticipate that show or a movie won’t be a hit and they decide to become a bit deceptive with the trailers.

The most recent examples of that? ‘Echo,’ trailer featured Daredevil only for him to have no impact on the story whatsoever and he appears for a few seconds.

‘The Marvels’ featured Thanos’ voice-over with the line “My work is inevitable, there’s always going to be someone to finish it” on a scene featuring Dar-Benn, only for Dar-Benn to have absolutely nothing to do with Thanos at all.

In ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Guardians of the Galaxy were featured as a much larger part of the movie than they actually turned out to be. In the trailer for ‘Infinity War’ Hulk was teased in the Wakanda Battle, only for him not to Hulk out at all. Those are just some examples, with the exception of ‘Infinity War’ naturally, where the studio anticipated that the movie or a show needed a “boost” and decided to mislead the audiences.

Only, in the case of ‘Agatha All Along’ if Scarlet Witch was in the show even for a second, they would have already shown her by now.
