Amanda Seyfried Hints at ‘Jennifer’s Body’ Sequel: “I think we’re making another one”

It looks like Jennifer’s Body might finally be getting a sequel! Amanda Seyfried, who starred in the 2009 horror-comedy alongside Megan Fox, recently teased that a follow-up is in the works.

At a Toronto screening of her film Seven Veils, Seyfried responded to a fan’s question about a possible sequel. “I think we’re making another one,” she said in a TikTok clip. She quickly added, “I didn’t confirm it! I said, ‘I think’,” before winking and saying, “We’re working on it!”

The original film, written by Diablo Cody and directed by Karyn Kusama, was not a big success when it was first released. However, over the years, it has gained a cult following, with many now seeing it as an underrated classic.

Cody has expressed interest in making a sequel last year, she said, “I am not done with Jennifer’s Body… I need to partner with people who believe in it as much as I do and that hasn’t really happened yet. I need someone to believe in it who has a billion dollars.”

In Jennifer’s Body, a high school cheerleader (Megan Fox) becomes possessed and starts killing her male classmates. Her best friend, played by Seyfried, must stop her before more people die. The cast also included Johnny Simmons, J.K. Simmons, Amy Sedaris, and Adam Brody.

Adding to the excitement, Cody also confirmed that her recent film Lisa Frankenstein takes place in the same universe as Jennifer’s Body.
