‘Andor’ Star Hints at an Even Bigger Second Season for the Hit Show

Although Andor may not have garnered as much attention as other Star Wars shows, it stands out as one of the best in the franchise and a highlight of Disney’s era. Featuring Diego Luna as the titular character, the series demonstrated that a compelling Star Wars story can be told without focusing on the Jedi and Sith as central figures.

The series earned acclaim from both fans and critics, leading to high anticipation for its second season, which is expected to premiere in 2025. The release was delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA strike of 2023, which affected many films and TV shows.

Diego Luna will return for the second season, and he won’t be the only familiar face. Adria Arjona, who portrays Bix Caleen, will also be back. The actress has recently shared some insights about the upcoming season.

As previously mentioned, while there is no official release date for Andor Season 2 yet, we know the series is confirmed and will continue the story of Cassian Andor. Diego Luna will reprise his role as the titular character, and other stars from Season 1 will also return, including Adria Arjona, who will once again portray Bix Caleen.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Arjona discussed her upcoming projects and was also asked about the second season of Andor. She hinted at something significantly larger than what we saw in Season 1, which has us all the more intrigued.

Oh man, when I read season one, I pinched myself, and when I started reading season two, I was like, ‘[Tony Gilroy] can’t outdo [season one].’ I was again like, ‘It’s not going to be as good.’ But it’s f–king better. It’s so much better. It is. What he has crafted and created is mind-blowing, and I can’t believe I got to be a part of it. He’s so talented, and he really outdid himself for season two.
