New Rumors Suggest Andrew Garfield’s Return as Spider-Man for Two More Films, Backed by His Latest Comments

Andrew Garfield was cast as Spider-Man in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012), opposite Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, in a reboot directed by Marc Webb. The franchise however never took off properly so unfortunately Garfield stared as Web Slinger in only two installments.

Garfield’s portrayal of Spider-Man was well-received, although he never really gained cult status like Tobey Maguire did.

Still, when fans saw Garfield reprising his role in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ they were overjoyed. Due to the enormous success of ‘No Way Home,’ there have been plenty of speculations that both Garfield and Maguire will reprise their roles in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4.’

Now MyTimeToShineHello, a notable leaker and scooper on X posted a rumor that Garfield will reprise his role in at least two more MCU projects.

These projects are likely the aforementioned ‘Spider-Man 4’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ ‘Secret Wars’ is already rumored to include at least 20 Marvel legacy characters, and while most of the names often mentioned are far-fetched, Garfield’s recent comments might indicate that he will truly don the Spider Suit once more.

The actor recently stated that he is ready to return to acting and that he would love to work with both Zendaya and Charlie Cox. He also told the press that he would be willing to return to Spider-Man if the story is truly good.

For sure, I would 100 percent come back if it was the right thing, if it’s additive to the culture, if there’s a great concept or something that hasn’t been done before that’s unique and
odd and exciting and that you can sink your teeth into. I love that character, and it brings joy. If part of what I bring is joy, then I’m joyful in return.

A few weeks ago, Andrew Garfield dismissed rumors about his involvement with Spider-Man, advising fans not to believe everything online. However, given his past denials about the role, many were still skeptical.

The odds of Garfield returning are sky high, mainly due to the trio of Spider-Men being a perfect recipe for success which ‘No Way Home’ confirmed.
