Ariana Grande Reached Out to Support Rachel Zegler Amidst ‘Snow White’ Controversy

Snow White isn’t even out yet, but for some time, it has been one of Disney’s most controversial outings. A lot of things seemingly went wrong with the film, and while the early reviews are very positive, the movie still doesn’t look like a hit for Disney, although that might change.
Be that as it may, the lead actress, Rachel Zegler, was in the midst of most of the controversies surrounding the movie and whichever side you’re taking, you have to admit that it was not hard for the young actress to endure so much pressure. Yet, as it seems, she got some star-level support from a colleague!
In a recent interview, Zegler revealed how her fellow actresses and colleagues actually helped her throughout these harsh times and how she had a lot of support, which certainly made the situation easier for her.
“[Actor and activist] Jameela Jamil is like a big sister to me. I love that she has no regrets about being outspoken, about being strong-willed and strong-minded,” she said, adding that her Shazam! co-stars Hellen Mirren and Lucy Liu also provided a lot of support.
But there is another. “She reached out to me—kind of apropos of nothing—and was like, ‘If you need anything, I am here.’ She is so deeply kind. She has gone through so much in the public eye, and I have always really, really admired her courage in the face of all of that,” Zegler said, referring to Ariana Grande.
Grande recently played a major role in the hit musical Wicked, and while she did not face the same scrutiny as Zegler did, the two roles are very similar, so it is very nice to see Grande support her colleague.
