Aubrey Plaza Has a Wild Idea to Bring Kamala Harris and Nicolas Cage into the MCU
Aubrey Plaza is lining up huge roles in recent times, but for us and our readers currently, the most notable role is that of Rio Vidal in MCU’s ‘Agatha All Along.’
Yes, Plaza has joined the MCU, but she did not join the Avengers however, it’s something far cooler, Agatha Harkness’ coven which is currently on the Witches’ Road.
Plaza portrays Rio Vidal, a Green Witch and romantic antagonist to Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. Some spicy interactions between the two of them were already teased in Episode 4 and we’re truly looking forward to seeing what happened in the past. Especially considering that Rio Vidal is trying to apparently kill Agatha, her former lover.
If Plaza wasn’t currently a part of Agatha’s makeshift coven, she revealed she would pick a more interesting team ( depending on who you ask that is.) The actress recently appeared on ‘The Daily Show’ where she was asked who would she like to have in the coven if she got the opportunity to assemble one.
The actress had interesting picks:
Kamala Harris. Just for fun. And Judy Davis. I would say Mia Farrow, Patti LuPone, and Faye Dunaway. Just all the…you know what I mean. And then, Nicholas Cage, just to like, round it out.
While Harris’ presidential campaign duties are certainly more interesting than walking the Witches Road, one name that Plaza mentioned being in her coven isn’t that far-fetched. And no we’re not talking about Patti LuPone who is already part of her coven in the show.
Nicholas Cage famously portrayed Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider in two movies before MCU was a thing. Still, the rumors are that the actor will reprise his role in the upcoming ‘Avengers’ flick, ‘Secret Wars.’
Having Ghost Rider and Rio Vidal cooperate in the MCU would make perfect sense since Ghost Rider is part of that side of the MCU – the supernatural side – that ‘Agatha All Along’ is currently exploring.
Who knows, maybe we will see that rumored ‘Midnight Sons’ MCU project come to fruition. Maybe Rio Vidal and Johnny Blaze do get to be members of the same team.
