‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ are the most highly-awaited MCU projects. While not much is known about the plot of the movies, we can assume that ‘Time Runs Out’ and ‘Secret Wars’ storylines will be loosely adapted.
The Multiverse is in peril and it seems that incursions are to blame. Even though Doctor Doom is being set up as the main villain, the circumstances of his involvement with the whole affair are still unknown.
Not much is known about the upcoming ‘Avengers 5’ as Marvel Studios is being notably tight-lipped regarding details.
Still, this is where industry insiders come in Daniel Richtman recently stated on his private Patreon that according to his sources, the story for ‘Doomsday’ is ready, but the script is still being written. They have until March to finish it.
Marvel Studios announced ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ at Comic-Con in July 2022. Destin Daniel Cretton was set to direct, and Jeff Loveness was writing the script. However, both left by November 2023, and Michael Waldron joined as the new writer.
In December 2023, Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror, was fired. At the 2024 Comic-Con, Marvel revealed the new title, ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ and announced Robert Downey Jr. as the new villain, Victor von Doom, replacing Kang.
The Russo brothers will direct and produce, with Stephen McFeely writing the script. Filming is set to begin in March 2025 in London, and the movie will be released on May 1, 2026. The film will also feature the Fantastic Four, with some original actors returning to reprise their roles.
