‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ Overtakes ‘The Boys’ on Amazon’s Top 10 List

The fourth season of The Boys premiered on June 13, 2024, and concluded on July 18, 2024, with an incredible final episode that continues to thrill fans. As you undoubtedly know, the show has a Certified Fresh rating. However, its political satire has attracted negative reviews. Despite this, the show has achieved impressive viewership numbers.

We’ve reported that the series has been a massive success for Amazon Prime, with official figures confirming its status as a global hit. Although The Boys topped Amazon’s list for a considerable time, a new series has unexpectedly dethroned it.

After a long reign at #1, The Boys has been dethroned by the new animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. Fans are flocking to see what the new show has to offer. Amazon recently confirmed this, and we wanted to bring you the news.

Bruce Timm, who co-created the original Batman: The Animated Series with Paul Dini, returned for this new series, joined by legendary comic book writer Ed Brubaker as a writer. J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves came on board as executive producers, making the series appear promising. Unfortunately, as we noted in our review, it missed the mark in several aspects, feeling like a soulless spiritual successor to a majestic series, lacking the compelling storytelling that Dini brought to the original.

Despite our critique, many critics worldwide have praised the series, though fan opinions are divided. Some fans appreciate and praise the series, while others are less impressed (excluding those who dislike it simply because they deem it “woke”). Regardless, the acclaim has generated significant interest, leading to the series dethroning The Boys on Amazon’s Top 10 list.

This is certainly exciting news for fans, especially given that the series has quickly toppled a long-standing favorite. With a second season already in the works, there’s much to look forward to.
