Could a Blade vs. Morbius Movie Be the Ideal Way to Introduce Both Characters to the MCU?

As many know, Blade is one of Marvel Studios’ most anticipated projects, with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali set to star in the lead role. However, the film is currently in a precarious development stage, making its future uncertain. While Ali remains contracted to play the titular antihero and Mia Goth has been cast as Lilith, there’s no clear indication of when or if the film will come to fruition.

In the meantime, the recent release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which featured a return of Wesley Snipes as the original Blade, has sparked a fan campaign for Snipes to reprise his role. Ryan Reynolds has supported this movement, with many fans hoping to see Snipes make a return for at least one more movie.

Fans are eager for Snipes to receive a proper Logan-style farewell before Ali fully takes over the role. However, there’s another intriguing idea: what if we could not only bring Snipes back but also introduce another Oscar-winning actor seeking redemption?

As we’ve previously reported, there’s strong fan demand for Wesley Snipes to return as Blade. The prevailing idea is to have Snipes star in a final, fourth film to give this version of the character a fitting send-off, akin to Hugh Jackman’s farewell in Logan. However, this isn’t the only way Snipes could make a comeback, and there’s potential to bring another character back alongside him.

Remember Morbius? Despite starring Jared Leto, the film was a disappointment for Sony. Although it performed better on streaming platforms, Sony has since abandoned all future Morbius projects, making it unlikely that Leto will reprise the role.

Enter the idea of Blade 4. Fans would undoubtedly relish seeing Blade face off against Morbius on the big screen. This scenario offers an exciting opportunity to bring both Snipes and Leto back for a significant movie event. Their clash on-screen wouldn’t be unprecedented, as they have shared comic book storylines in the past.

This is, of course, just a theory, but it’s certainly a compelling possibility. Would you be interested in seeing this movie? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
