‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was released over two weeks ago, and so far the movie is absolutely smashing box office records. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has surpassed $900 million at the global box office, currently standing at $903.3 million. With international earnings of $472.3 million and domestic earnings of $431 million, the film is expected to cross the $1 billion mark this weekend.
The movie has become the eighth highest-grossing MCU release domestically, surpassing ‘Captain Marvel,’ and is now the third biggest R-rated release internationally, outperforming ‘Deadpool 2.’ It has also exceeded the total earnings of both ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Deadpool 2’ across all markets.
The movie sees Blake Lively taking on the mantle of Lady Deadpool, and now it seems that her husband’s movie is representing quite the problem for her own big film released just this weekend. Lively stars in ‘It Ends with Us’ movie based on the 2016 novel of the same name. The film stars Lively in the role of Lily Bloom. Justin Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid, and Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan.
The movie was released to mixed reviews and $7 million when it comes to previews. Lively hopes to compete and even perhaps dethrone ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ as the husband and the wife are seemingly engrossed in a hilarious box-office battle which Lively herself recently commented:
In an interview with Capital FM, Lively showcased her sense of humor while discussing ‘It Ends with Us,’ making a joke about the movie.
“ Don’t go see Deadpool & Wolverine this weekend — f*ck that movie [studio erupts with laughter]. But just this weekend, though, I really love it. Either way, I get the top spot. It’s fine. You know what, see either one [more laughing]. It’s fine [Lively smiles].
Both Reynolds and Hugh Jackman help promote ‘It Ends With Us’ with a hilarious sketch that sees Hugh Jackman threatening Brandon Sklenar. You can check it out here.
