Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick Reunite: ‘Another Simple Favor’ Trailer Drops Ahead of May 1 Premiere!

The first trailer for Another Simple Favor has officially been released, giving fans a glimpse of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 black comedy mystery A Simple Favor. Directed by Paul Feig and written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, the film brings back Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, alongside several returning cast members and some exciting new additions.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Capri, Italy, Another Simple Favor follows Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) as they reunite under dramatic circumstances.

This time, the story revolves around a shocking murder at Emily’s lavish wedding to an Italian businessman, setting the stage for another mystery filled with twists, secrets, and dark humor.

Alongside Kendrick and Lively, returning cast members include Henry Golding as Sean Townsend, Emily’s husband, and Andrew Rannells as Darren. Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, and Ian Ho also reprise their roles. New faces joining the cast include Michele Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, and Oscar-winner Allison Janney, promising an exciting mix of talent.

The sequel was officially confirmed in May 2022, with Amazon Studios and Lionsgate backing the project. Originally planned to begin filming in Fall 2023, production kicked off in March 2024 and wrapped by May 26, 2024.
