‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is bound to introduce new characters to the MCU but also see the return of some old characters and among them is The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson.
Initially, The Leader was only rumored to appear in the film but the character was confirmed by the release of the first trailer as fans could see Doctor Samuel Sterns in one of the background shots.
Since then Nelson, who also portrayed the character in ‘The Incredible Hulk’ spoke openly about his character and revealed that they will rely on practical effects to make him look as accurately as possible.
While fans are looking forward to seeing Leader with an oversized green forehead, recently revealed art for the upcoming movie showcased exactly what we can expect and some fans might be disappointed:
As you can see, the Leader is missing his comic-accurate suit, but this might change down the line in the movie. At least the coloring is sort of right and the forehead. But considering that Nelson said multiple times that it’s going to be a practical costume, I guess we can’t expect it to be over-the-top.
The Leader will be done “as practically as possible, with an absence of digital… stuff.
We don’t know much about Leader’s role in the upcoming movie but the recent leaks suggest that he might be the one behind Ross’ uncontrollable transformations into the Red Hulk, and the one who controls him behind the scenes.
