In the comics, Daredevil and Spider-Man have a strong friendship and often team up to fight crime. Both heroes are based in New York City, so they frequently cross paths. While Daredevil is a blind lawyer by day and a vigilante by night, Spider-Man is a young superhero who balances school and crime fighting.
They respect each other’s abilities and share similar values, like protecting the innocent. Though their personalities are different—Daredevil is serious and more of a loner, while Spider-Man is lighthearted and often cracks jokes—they make a great team when they work together. Over the years, they’ve helped each other out in various battles and have built a deep mutual trust.
Since both characters are in the MCU currently, fans have been looking forward to seeing this dynamic play out on the big screen as well, and Charlie Cox just made this reality a bit closer to fans.
During the D23 event in Brazil, Cinepop had the opportunity to ask Cox a few questions. Cox was asked about the main difference between his show being produced by Netflix and Marvel Studios and the actor admitted that his upcoming show ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will follow in the footsteps of Netflix’s version as far as tone and action are involved.
The actor stated that the biggest difference is actually the fact that now his show can involved more MCU characters. Cox is excited about the fact that Daredevil now coexists with numerous other interesting characters which opens up a lot of space for crossovers.
Cox was then asked which MCU characters he would love to fight with and against.
I’d like to do some fighting with Spider-Man, at some point. That would be really fun. Now who would I love to fight against? Um, I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t want to piss off the Hulk.

Both statements make sense, especially his team-up with Spider-Man. According to numerous reports, the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4’ was originally being considered as a street level story that was supposed to involve Daredevil and Kingpin.
However, the state of the movie is currently confusing considering that the theme has reportedly shifted to multiverse with Doom’s announcement during this year’s SDCC.
However keep in mind that these are just rumors, the movie is very early in development and not much at all is known about it except for the fact that Holland will reprise his role and that Destin Daniel Cretton is taking over as the director.
