The release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is around 6 months away, and the show is already generating significant amounts of hype. The show will see the return of a beloved cast, Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio will be back as Kingpin with Elden Henson back as Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll will be back as Karen.

The original ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was scrapped after filming nearly half episodes, due to the show being uninteresting and not aligning with the tone of Netflix’s original show. Apparently, it was supposed to be a comedy and courtroom drama that would see very little Daredevil action.

I usually try to steer clear from commenting on something that I haven’t seen – however, this original plan sounds like a MESS! Luckily, the execs recognized this and reshot much of the show, returning familiar faces, and villains and setting the proper tone for the show.

Now attendees at this year’s NYCC had the pleasure of seeing the ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ trailer (you can also check it out by following this link.) What we’ve seen so far supports rumors, leaks, and cast members’ comments on how the show will be action-packed, violent, and gritty.

Charlie Cox himself during the same event comments how some things that they have done in the show will be “a first for Disney+.”

We’re continuing the darkness of the first series on Netflix. It is gonna be that dark and that intense. We worked our butts off to make it that way. So, we’re excited about it because of that

As far as I’m concerned, the biggest question that I get asked the most is, is it gonna be dark like the original series? And the answer to that is a definite yes. It is dark. It is crazy. We do some things that are definitely a first for Disney+.

Cox also revealed that his character will drop the F-Bomb in the show. Deadpool did beat him a few months prior, but as far as Disney+ shows go, this is the first one.

When asked if a swear word appeared in Episode 1, Cox confirmed it does not, but hinted that it would be included later and teased that there may be plans for a second season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’

“It is not, but it was shocking to me. It’s almost under my breath, but you can hear it. I was like, ‘Oh wow. Great!’ Good to know for Season 2.”

We are not surprised by these comments considering that the show’s producer teased sick action months ago, and Vicent D’Onforio stated how he can’t believe that some of the scenes they shot made it to the final cut, presumably due to being too brutal.

If you recall, ‘Echo’ was a street-level show and some of the scenes were, brutal, to say the least, enough to warrant a TV-MA rating. Perhaps ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will go down that path as well.
