Charlie Cox Would Rather Daredevil Join the Avengers Than Reunite with the Defenders in the MCU

Charlie Cox is ready to take Daredevil to the next level in the MCU. With Daredevil: Born Again on the way, fans are eager to see what’s next for the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante. Now, Cox himself has expressed interest in joining the Avengers in major upcoming films like Avengers: Secret Wars or Avengers: Doomsday.

Not only that, the actor admitted that he would rather join the Avengers than his former group of misfits, the Defenders.

In an interview, Cox discussed the future of his character, Daredevil, in the MCU. While he’s open to reuniting with his fellow Defenders, he expressed a stronger desire to see Daredevil join the Avengers.

Cox is excited about the idea of Daredevil teaming up with iconic heroes like Sam Wilson, Bruce Banner, and Thor, especially in the face of a huge, world-threatening crisis. He acknowledged that such a team-up would depend on scheduling and fan interest, but he’s definitely open to the possibility of Daredevil fighting alongside the Avengers in the future.

Would I like to team up with some of my dear friends (The Defenders), or go into the Avengers?. This is a rock and a hard place. And as much as I love those friends…..”

Cox sees the idea of Daredevil joining the Avengers as a significant moment that would not only be exciting for the character but also a way to honor the rich history of the character and the comics. He feels it would be a special and meaningful moment in Daredevil’s journey.

I’ve become over the course of these years I’ve become a big fan of this character and his stories and stuff like that. And one of the things I’m acutely aware of is there’s some really cool, there’s some really cool team ups, and Daredevil, you know, plays a really interesting pivotal role in some of the Avenger comics, and for the sake of the character I think that that would be a wonderful moment. It would be a wonderful celebration of an homage to so much of the history.
