The end of Cobra Kai is here. After years of twists and turns, the show is about to wrap up its run with the release of the final five episodes on February 13.
We already knew Cobra Kai wouldn’t end without bringing us back to the 1984 classic The Karate Kid, and the new trailer reminds us of the core story — the redemption of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Both of them started on opposing sides, but over time, they’ve had to confront their pasts and work together.
In these last episodes, we’ll see the fallout from the events at Sekai Taikai and a final showdown between Sam (Mary Mouser) and Tory (Peyton List). There’s also the return of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), as well as Kreese’s (Martin Kove) final chance at redemption. Plus, the All Valley tournament will make one last appearance to bring the story full circle.
Many of the original cast members are still around, including Jacob Bertrand (Hawk), Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene), Gianni Decenzo (Demetri), and Courtney Henggeler (Amanda LaRusso), among others. It’s clear the show’s ending has a nostalgic feel, as co-creator Hayden Schlossberg mentions there will be no big cliffhanger or spin-offs to leave us hanging.
Even though Xolo Maridueña (Blue Beetle) wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the show, he joked about a possible reunion in a few years. The cast and creators have all made it clear that Cobra Kai is coming to a natural and satisfying end, and they’re ready to “land the plane.”
So, February 13 marks the end of Cobra Kai. It’s time for the last battle, and there’s no turning back now.
