One of the most expected Disney+ series is definitely ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ The fans were excited when Marvel Studio revealed that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio would return as Daredevil and Kingpin for the upcoming show. The release date of the show was moved later due to writers’ and actors’ strikes in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean that people involved in the project cannot speak about them.

As we mentioned, writers and actors’ started the strike earlier this year, and it seems that it won’t stop anytime soon. Of course, this means the artists and other people working on those projects are regularly on the streets, demanding their rights and better pay, and recently, the reporters of ‘The Wrap’ stumbled upon one of the writers for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ Molly Nussbaum.

Hollywood is currently in disarray during the strikes, and almost all of the projects stopped their development and production until the studios agreed to better their workers’ salaries. This complex situation complicated things for huge studios even more, like Disney and Warner Bros., who are trying to establish and release new content in their respective cinematic universes.

Marvel Studios is currently “suffering” backlash from the fans after the failures of their most recent projects, like ‘Secret Invasion,’ and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ and the slow but sure decline in the quality of MCU projects is getting even more vast.

However, fans are still excited about the release of the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again,’ especially after learning that many actors from the successful Netflix show will return to portray their characters. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio already reprised their roles in Disney+ shows ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,’ and ‘Hawkeye,’ and will most likely feature in the upcoming ‘Echo’ series that will focus on Maya Lopez, also known as Echo.

Nevertheless, the strikes saw many actors and writers on the streets of Los Angeles, and one of ‘The Wrap’ reporters stumbled upon one of the writers of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ show, Molly Nussbaum. The writer is known for her work on another successful show, ‘Umbrella Academy,’ and when asked about the Disney+ show, Nussbaum confirmed that the upcoming ‘Daredevil’ series will be ‘a reboot’ and will not continue the story of the successful Netflix show, ‘Daredevil.’

Some fans aren’t happy about that since the previous series was very good, with amazing portrayals of notable comic book characters in Daredevil’s lore.

The whole drama around the cancelation of the ‘Daredevil’ Netflix show is still on fans’ minds and is justifiable. On the other hand, ‘the soft reboot’ is most likely an option for the upcoming series since we saw the returning characters, Daredevil and Kingpin, still being close to the Netflix show versions.

Of course, adaptations to the Disney+ format, and maybe less gore, are what made some fans skeptical, but in the end, we won’t know until we see the finished projects.

Still, the Netflix show was really good, and knowing that some of the details of the characters and stories won’t be canon anymore makes us a bit sad. Marvel Cinematic Universe is a whole other story in comparison to ‘Daredevil’ Netflix show, so it’s logical to see some changes happening.

Hopefully, it won’t be too much.
