Daredevil: Born Again’ is set to be released in about five months, and it is already creating a lot of excitement. The show will bring back familiar faces, with Charlie Cox returning as Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen.

The original version of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was canceled after filming almost half of the episodes because it wasn’t interesting and didn’t match the tone of Netflix’s original show. It was meant to be a courtroom drama with very little action seen from Daredevil.

After the creative overhaul, the show has significantly shifted its tone and level of “darkness.” This is confirmed by the show’s stars and the recent teaser trailer. The show will be more aligned with the tone of Netflix’s show with everything indicating that it will be rated TV-MA.

Vincent D’Onofrio stated that some scenes that made it to the final cut of the show were shocking. Cox revealed recently that he managed to sneak in the “F-Bomb.” He confirmed that the show will maintain the dark and intense tone of the original Netflix series, saying they worked hard to achieve this.

He reassured fans that it would indeed be dark and crazy, answering the common question about its similarity to the original series with a clear yes.

Now popular industry insider, MyTimeToShineHello recently claimed that the show will have horror vibes. Take that with a grain of salt since MTTSH has a somewhat confusing track record in recent times.

But this aligns with something that Marvel Studios Exec Brad Winderbaum stated a few months ago:

“I’ll tell you, some of the most brutal action we’ve ever brought to the screen is coming in Daredevil: Born Again, which isn’t a horror show, but really it packs a lot of power and there’s a lot of visceral action, to say the least.”

All of this sounds fine and dandy, let’s just hope that this “horror” aspect isn’t being oversold.
