‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Rumors Tease Daredevil Assembling a Team to Take on Fisk’s War on Vigilantes

Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is currently airing on Disney+, and so far, the reactions from fans and critics have been positive. The series explores both Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk as they attempt to move on from their violent pasts. However, given their history, it’s only a matter of time before their conflict reignites.

One of Fisk’s defining traits has always been his hatred for vigilantes, and this season establishes that sentiment more clearly than ever. As he rises to power as the Mayor of New York, Fisk is expected to create an anti-vigilante task force to crack down on street-level heroes.

Meanwhile, Matt has already suffered significant losses, the most recent being the tragic death of White Tiger. This devastating event will likely push him to the edge and force him to fully embrace the mantle of Daredevil once again.

Now, according to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, which is currently filming, will see Matt assembling a team to take on Fisk’s brutal task force. This suggests that the series may lean into more team-based storytelling, potentially introducing new allies or reuniting Matt with familiar faces from the Marvel universe.

In the comics, Fisk hates vigilantes like Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Punisher because they constantly interfere with his criminal empire. When Fisk becomes the Mayor of New York, he uses his political power to create an anti-vigilante task force.

This task force is made up of police officers, mercenaries, and even super-powered enforcers. Their job is to hunt down and arrest any vigilantes operating in the city. Fisk also passes strict anti-vigilante laws, making it illegal for heroes to fight crime.

His goal is to eliminate street-level heroes and make himself untouchable. However, vigilantes like Daredevil refuse to back down, leading to an all-out war between them and Fisk’s forces.

Some past reports also stated that MCU has already started to adapt The Devil’s Reign storyline through Echo and Hawkeye shows so we’ll see how it all pans out.
