DC’s ‘Challengers of the Unknown’ #1 premiered a few days ago with writing by Christopher Cantwell, artwork by Sean Izaakse, a cover by Mike Deodato Jr., and colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr..
A dangerous Darkseid shockwave has ripped through time and space, threatening the DC Universe. The Challengers of the Unknown—Ace Morgan, June Robbins, Prof Haley, Red Ryan, and Rocky Davis—team up with the Justice League to manage the Watchtower and stop the rifts tearing the galaxy apart. But a shadowy enemy from the Challengers’ past, tied to this chaos, poses an even bigger threat to the DCU’s survival.
The Justice League is back and has a new, high-tech Watchtower with a powerful new spaceship, thanks to the Flash. The ship, called the JL-657, is the fastest in the DC Universe, powered by the Flash’s Speed Force. In the issue Ace Morgan teams up with Superman for a mission to Mars and pilots the new spaceship.
The JL-657 is a special ship enhanced by the Speed Force, allowing it to travel as fast as DC’s speedsters.
The Justice League’s new rocket uses the Flash’s powers and advanced technology for faster space travel. When Ace gets ready to fly the JL-657, Superman warns him that Batman and the Flash would be upset if it broke, since they helped build it.
The Speed Force essentially boosts the ship’s power, allowing it to travel as fast as the Flash, making space travel quicker and more efficient, which you need to tackle Galactic threats.
