Deadpool Talks About Wolverine’s and Jean’s Toxic Relationship in a New ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Deleted Scene

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has become one of the biggest hits for the MCU in recent years. The movie has earned over a billion dollars, helping to restore some of the fans’ faith in the cinematic universe.

A big part of its success comes from the multiple variants shown throughout the movie, as well as the many hidden references and Easter eggs.

We also know the movie had several deleted scenes. For example, we recently shared one deleted scene that features the Welshpool variant and notably introduced “the C-word” to the MCU.

Now a different deleted scene was released, and it hilariously references Wolverine’s and Jean Grey’s long and torturous relationship in Marvel canon. You can check it out below:

Wolverine & Jean are among the most notable comic “couples” or rather, Wolverine is a part of a love triangle that involves Jean & Cyclops. Wolverine and Jean Grey’s relationship is often portrayed as complicated or tumultuous in certain storylines due to a plethora of factors.

The relationship is similar in the movies as well. Wolverine and Jean Grey have a complicated relationship. Wolverine is deeply in love with Jean, but she is in a relationship with Cyclops (Scott Summers).

Despite this, Wolverine and Jean share a strong connection, and she seems to have feelings for him too, though she remains loyal to Cyclops for much of the series.

A recent revival of ‘X-Men Animated Series,’ ‘X-Men ’97’ continued the tradition but also confirmed that Morph has romantic feelings for Wolverine.

We really hope that this is one aspect of Wolverine’s character that won’t translate to the MCU, especially now that X-Men are set to be introduced to the MCU with the live-action reboot.
