‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is MCU’s most recent installment, but also the most successful one in the last few years. The movie made $636.7 million in the U.S. and Canada and $701.3 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $1.338 billion. It also earned $84 million from IMAX screenings, making it the fifth highest-grossing Marvel film in that format.

It broke several box office records, and now that it’s released on Disney+, the movie managed to top the streaming charts for its first week of release with 1.34 billion minutes viewed between November 11- 17, 2024.

‘Focus’ is right behind ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ with significantly fewer minutes, currently standing at 458 million minutes viewed on Netflix, followed by ‘Hot Frosty’ with 439 million minutes, also on Netflix.

Other notable films include ‘Twisters’ on Peacock with 428 million minutes, ‘The Lost City’ with 362 million minutes across Netflix and Paramount+, and ‘Moana’ with 311 million minutes on Disney+. Films like ‘The Grinch’ (2018), ‘Despicable Me 4,’ and ‘Meet Me Next Christmas’ also made the list, with strong showings on Peacock and Netflix.

It’s clear that the movie has been a great success for the studio and while you would assume that the sequel is already in development, Reynolds had a different statement just a few days ago.

The Deadpool actor stated that he doesn’t know when Deadpool will appear in the MCU again, considering that the character works best when you least expect him. He also said that working on Deadpool movies takes too much time away from his family.
