The MCU’s upcoming X-Men reboot is one of the most exciting projects for fans. It will officially introduce the X-Men to the MCU and replace former Fox’s X-Men franchise.
Not much is known about the movie yet, but the studio wants to find a good mix of humor and drama. They also plan to bring in some mutants who haven’t appeared in live-action before.
We recently learned that Michael Lesslie has been chosen to write the script for the upcoming movie. Lesslie is best known for writing The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, making him a strong choice for the project.
Lesslie reportedly pitched a full ‘X-Men ’97’ rooster for the team, but rumors indicate that Wolverine won’t be part of the team at first due to Jackman continuing to play the role post-Secret Wars.
This means that MCU’s reboot would have the following team: Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Professor X, Morph, Bishop, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Sunspot.
Keep in mind that these are just rumors and nothing has been confirmed in an official capacity. Now Daniel Richtman is back with a new round of rumors related to the reboot. According to the insider, the studio is currently looking for a director for the movie. He also revealed that the movie will take place post-Secret Wars, which makes sense and everyone anticipated it.
‘Secret Wars’ will reportedly lead to a soft reboot of the MCU, the studio reportedly aims to “keep what’s working and drop what’s not working.” The next Saga of the MCU is heavily rumored to be focused on mutants and magic.
