  • The Rockford Files (1978) – Here Harris played the character of Karl, a henchman who was involved in a land fraud scheme.
  • Barnaby Jones (1979) – In this show, Harris played the role of George Fallon, who was a suspect in a murder investigation.
  • CHiPs – On this action-packed series, Harris played Greg “Bull” Hurley. He was a police officer working with the main characters. These were Officers Ponch and Jon.  

Most memorable characters of Harris  

In later years, after his initial television shows, Harris delivered powerful performances in various productions both on small and big screens. While his successful movies have earned him various nominations and accolades, his two most memorable characters on small screens have stolen the hearts of audiences. These are from the 2005 miniseries Empire Falls and HBO science fiction Western Series Westworld (2016-2022)

“Empire Falls” – A Memorable Role

Ed Harris delivered a compelling performance in Empire Falls. His character of Miles Roby, the weary and introspective manager of a diner was truly memorable to audiences.
