Elizabeth Olsen Thinks Wanda Could Take Down Thor

Elizabeth Olsen is one of the most beloved members of the MCU cast, with her character, Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, being one of the franchise’s standout figures. Wanda’s character development has been remarkable, which is why fans are eager to see more of her in upcoming MCU projects.

However, her fate remains uncertain. The character appeared to die in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While the rumor mill has been buzzing, the speculations have been inconsistent—ranging from discussions of a solo movie to claims that she won’t be returning at all.

The truth likely lies somewhere in between, but what truly piques our interest right now is a recent interview Olsen had with Jimmy Kimmel. In this conversation, she made a fascinating comment about her character and another powerful figure in the MCU, expressing her belief that Wanda could defeat that powerhouse.

The MCU powerhouse in question is Thor, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth. As you know, Thor is one of the strongest characters in the MCU, consistently demonstrating his immense power throughout his many appearances.

While only a handful of characters would dare to challenge the Asgardian god, Elizabeth Olsen believes that Wanda could take him on.

Recently, Olsen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, one of the most popular talk shows in the U.S., where she was asked about a potential showdown between her character and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. Her response was quite surprising; as you’ll see below, Olsen expressed her belief that Wanda could actually defeat Thor.

I think I am. I think theory has it that Wanda could beat him. I think Wanda has powers that are greater than a hammer and the lightning. Yeah, I think so. I think I could probably somehow manipulate and go inside his body and do the same thing he does.

As you can see, this is quite a bold statement from Olsen. While not everyone may agree, considering Wanda’s powers, it does seem plausible. Thor isn’t immune to magic or mind control, which would provide Wanda with a significant opportunity to accomplish what Olsen suggested.

Would she come out on top? We don’t have a definitive answer, but it would certainly make for an intriguing battle, even if it’s one we’re unlikely to witness in the MCU.
