Élodie Yung’s Elektra Rumored to Return in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’—Scenes Already Filmed

For most of the older audiences, Jennifer Garner is the only live-action Elektra that they are emotionally tied to, no matter how bad her standalone movie was. But back when Netflix was making shows based on Marvel characters, Elodie Yung embodied the young assassin and Daredevil’s love interest and fans took quite a liking to her.

Now that Daredevil is getting a revival, fans were wondering whether Élodie Yung might appear in the upcoming show. Now the Beyond Reporter reported there’s a rumor that Élodie Yung, who played Elektra, filmed scenes for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ possibly for episodes 6 or 7. However, since the series was remade from scratch, many things may have been discarded, so take this with a grain of salt.

Élodie Yung recently addressed her possible return to the role by saying that she would love to return and that many fans keep asking her. The actress said that Elektra was incredibly fun to say.

Oh my god, I would love that! My fans are like “Can you come back?” I’m like, ask Mr. Marvel. You have to ask Mr. Marvel… I would gladly replay this part, are you kidding? She’s so much fun!

Elektra is presumed to be dead after the destruction of Midland Circle in the original Netflix show, however considering her body has never been found and that the character has a penchant for returning to life, we really can’t rule out this appearance. Yung could also appear in flashback scenes.

While this rumor alone doesn’t exactly confirm anything, Marvel Studios Excec Brad Winderbaum teased that Defenders characters like Colleen Wing could return under the right circumstances, and there are exciting surprises for fans of the Netflix shows, especially with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ coming up.

It’s all one shared universe, so you never know where characters are going to pop up next. It’s a huge opportunity to have officially folded those stories into our canon. Whether or not they were always part of the canon, it’s now official, and we can play with those toys in our toy box. There are surprises around the band that I won’t get into, but for fans of the Netflix shows, we’ve got a very exciting show on the horizon in Daredevil: Born Again.
