Months before the teaser trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was released rumors were going around that Emma Corrin would be playing the movie’s villain Cassandra Nova. Those rumors were confirmed by US Copyright Listing, and later by the official IMDb page. Cassandra Nova is a character from the comics with a pretty gruesome story.

It would seem that this gruesome story will be faithfully adapted to the upcoming movie, as Nova has been described as plenty of things so far, and none of them are nice.

Here’s what you need to know about Cassandra Nova: She’s clever, sadistic, and has a very dark sense of humor. She’s extremely dangerous and will not hesitate to kill your favorite characters. Most importantly, she’s a significant threat to the Multiverse.

Some information regarding the villain has been confirmed and some strickly rumored so we’re going to have to wait for the movie to truly learn more about her. The actress behind the villain, however, recently sat down with British GQ’s Actually Me, to discuss the character and they have revealed that the studio refused to provide them with a personal trainer as it wasn’t needed.

This is funny because I did ask if I could have a personal trainer, and they said no. They said I don’t have to undergo any physical training. I was so ready to undergo a huge transformation, but they were like, ‘That’s absolutely not required of you. Please stand down.’ I tried.

This makes sense, considering that Corrin is already in decent shape, especially if it’s not vital for their character to be absolutely buffed.

Emma Corrin made their television debut in 2019 with guest appearances in the ITV detective drama ‘Grantchester’ and a recurring role in the Epix DC series ‘Pennyworth,’ so it’s not like they are not familiar with superhero media. Corrin gained widespread recognition for their portrayal of Princess Diana in the fourth season of Netflix’s ‘The Crown,’ earning several accolades, including a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, and an Emmy nomination.

They have two movies coming up this year, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ which arrives in theaters in less than a month, and ‘Nosferatu’ currently in post-production. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
